Automotive Grade/Vehicle Grade Metal Film MELF Resistor

The Metal Film MELF (Metal Electrode Leadless Face) resistor features a cylindrical appearance. The 0102 MELF style offers a power rating of 0.2 watts with a resistance range from 0.22 ohms to 2.2 million ohms, while the 0204/0207 MELF style boasts higher power ratings, ranging from 0.25 watts to 0.5 watts, and a broader resistance range, spanning from 0.47 ohms to 10 million ohms. Both types share the same dimensions as flat chip resistors (0805 package) and provide superior reliability, stability, and better heat dissipation compared to chip resistors. Furthermore, they possess a robust mechanical structure capable of enduring vibration and thermal shock. These resistors are AEC-Q200 certified and, due to their enhanced reliability and stability, are particularly suited for use in vehicle designs.
