Product Overview

These resistors meet the requirements of power ratings up to 40W and voltage ratings up to 6000V. These power resistors cover a wide range of ohmic values and can operate at temperatures up to 275°C with axial lead construction.

  • Resistance Value: 0.1 Ω to 30 MΩ (based on reference model specifications)

  • Resistance Tolerance:

    • ≥10Ω: 50 ppm/°C (referenced at 25°C, measured at -15°C and +85°C)

    • <10Ω: 25 ppm/°C (special requirements for low ohm values, inquire for details)

  • Max. Operating Temperature: +275°C

  • Dielectric Strength: 1,000 V DC

  • Insulation Resistance: 10 GΩ min. at 1,000 V DC

  • Overload/Overvoltage: 5 times rated power, with applied voltage not exceeding 1.5 times the maximum continuous operating voltage for 5 seconds, ΔR 0.5% max. or 0.5Ω max. (whichever is greater; not applicable to the 40W series)

  • Load Life: 1,000 hours at rated power, ΔR 0.5% max. or 0.5Ω max. (whichever is greater)

  • Thermal Shock: MIL-Std-202, Method 107, Condition C, ΔR 0.5% max. or 0.5Ω max. (whichever is greater)

  • Encapsulation: Standard coating is silicone rubber; 2-component epoxy coating is recommended for oil immersion and wave soldering applications (inquire for details); other coatings available upon request

  • Lead Material: OFHC copper, tin-plated

  • Other Terminals Available: Threaded caps (6/32", M4, max. torque 1 Nm), custom-made, gold-plated leads with a diameter of 0.8 mm (suitable for series above 4W, inquire for details)

High-Performance Realization

To achieve high stability, high resistance, high voltage, and high power, these films are fired at temperatures above 1400°F/800°C onto special ceramic bodies, becoming an integral part of the ceramic surface and bringing unique performance characteristics. Due to the resistor's unique non-inductive patented process, these resistors are ideal for high-frequency applications, reducing signal "ringing," minimizing signal distortion, and shortening stabilization time.
